Buy wood here - it is sanded on both sides, not run through a planer. Our hardwoods are sold in thickness from 1/16 inch to 1-1/2 inch for use on many craft projects.
We have been a family owned and operated business for over 20 years based in Saylorsburg, PA.

10 sq. ft. Poplar 3/4 inch thickness random width and length. All our boards are surface sanded two sides to 100 grit, edges are unfinished.

Fine textured, soft and lightweight. Easily worked and takes paint exceptionally well. Frequently finished to look like other woods.
Color grayish white sapwood with greenish brown heart. Also known as Tulip Poplar.
Poplar is a product of eastern USA & Canada.

When freshly cut the wood is bright orange red, becomes reddish brown.
Moderately hard and heavy. Medium texture, but with large pores.

Color bright orange red, often with dark stripes.
Padauk is a product of West Africa - Cameroon. Gabon, Nigeria, Gold Coast.

Medium to coarse texture; grain usually wavy or interlocked and produces alternating hard and soft material which creates working difficulties.
Color golden brown with pronounced dark brown streaks.

Ebiara is also known as Red Zebrawood. This exotic hardwood comes from West African
countries such as Cameroon, Gabon, Sierra Leone, Ivory Coast, Congo and Zaire.
Ebiara has a whitish pink sapwood with a heartwood color that ranges from red to brown and purplish brown streaks throughout.
When quartersawn this timber resembles its close relative zebrawood the only difference is ebiara is red.
